Both administrative levels - the Asylum and Integration Directorate and the six regional centers, have specialists that provide a constant flow individual researched & analyzed COI responses. Maintaining high quality standards is done through continuous participation in practical cooperation under the aegis of the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) based in Malta. Through its own qualified researchers, Romania is actively involved in EASO networks of specialists for countries of origin Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia and Pakistan, which are the main countries of origin over the last 10 years.

Directive 2013/32 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2013 on common procedures for granting and withdrawing international protection (recast) stipulates in Article 10, paragraph 3 letter b, that examining applications for international protection "[...] precise and up-to-date information is obtained from various sources, such as EASO and UNHCR and relevant international human rights organisations, as to the general situation prevailing in the countries of origin of applicants and, where necessary, in countries through which they have transited, and that such information is made available to the personnel responsible for examining applications and taking decisions;"

The legitimacy of relevant, up-dated, transparent and balanced COI materials  is researched and processed at the national level in close collaboration with civil society and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, whose constructive criticism helps the continuous improving  of quality.
